Our Founding
We have come a long way since our humble beginnings in 2016! Today, led by Founder and Chief Science Officer Holly Ganz, and Chief Executive Officer Carlton Osborne, Animal Biome is the leader in microbiome science for companion animals. With one of the largest databases of pet gut microbiome information in the world, we help thousands of veterinarians and pet parents every month successfully analyze and resolve gut microbiome imbalances in companion animals.

Our Mission

Our Labs
Highly trained Animal Biome employees in our Oakland, California labs use PacBio sequencing technology to analyze the DNA found in each sample, and then employ sophisticated software to identify and analyze thousands of different types of bacteria. We provide our customers with a customized and actionable report to help them understand their pet’s results. In addition, for cats and dogs, our gut microbiome testing reports also include a comparison to the healthy reference database and recommendations to improve each pet’s gut and overall health.
